Our EcoBUGS programmes take your children on an imaginative journey with engaging characters and interactive activities to learn how we can all become Eco Bugs! We believe that you're never too young to learn about how you can make a difference and we aim to inspire young minds to think of innovative ways to look after our planet.

Aligned with current curriculum outcomes for the Early Years Learning Framework our program promotes positive sustainability practices in the school, home and wider world.

All of our Educators are fully trained, passionate Eco Bugs, fully insured with current Working with Children checks.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Our '3 R’s' one-off incursion is all about sharing the important message that it’s up to each and every one of us to take care of our natural environment. We meet a cheeky Litter Bug who’s home has turned into a rubbish dump and we need to teach him how to save his planet. Our educators guide the children through what types of rubbish can be recycled and encourage them to think of creative ways to reuse objects instead of throwing them away to help reduce the amount of rubbish we produce. Through fun, games and dance each child becomes excited to become an EcoBUG!

Suitable for toddlers and pre school

Drip Drop Don’t waste a drop

Our one-off incursion ‘Drip drop don’t waste a drop’ teaches children about the importance of saving water and keeping it clean. Through original songs and fun games we discover where water comes from and clever ways to save our precious water resources. We enjoy a visit from our friend Sea Turtle who is struggling to spot the difference between jellyfish and plastic bags. The children learn about different ways of keeping plastic and other debris out of our oceans to protect animal life. Our passionate educators encourage the children to recognise there are many simple practises we can implement in our daily lives to look after our water each day.

Wriggly worms and creepy crawlies

Our one hour ‘Wriggly Worms and Creepy Crawlies’ incursion encourages children to consider the link between our Environment and the important role insects play in our ecosystems to maintain a healthy, balanced world. We explore the importance of earthworms by introducing children to microhabitats such as worm farms, which are a sustainable way of reducing the amount of fruit and vegetable scraps that end up in our rubbish cycle. With fun games and hands on experiences this incursion  builds knowledge about composting and recycling, while increasing awareness of practices that can be implemented in the home and school environment.

Suitable for pre school and K-2

10 week EcoBUG programme

Our EcoBUG 10 week extended program is a deep dive into how we can all be Eco Bugs.  With a themed focus each week children learn how to reduce, reuse, recycle as well as how to save water and keep our oceans clean. We discuss why it is important to look after our animal and creepy crawly friends all over the planet and we learn how to save electricity and stop our glaciers melting. Each session includes games, dancing and interactive activities while we make living sustainably easy and fun.

Suitable for pre school and K-2
